Principal / CEO
Daniel Sutton completed a Bachelor of Education Honours Degree in 1996, and the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers (NPQH) in 2008 and has been an educator for over 25 years.
Daniel has a strong and successful background as a Principal, Executive Headteacher as well as Headteacher of schools with age ranges from 3 to 25 across the Middle East and UK. He has a proven track record of rapid and sustained school improvement, in which he has created a culture where all stakeholders are ambitious, have very high expectations both of themselves and of those around them.
Daniel would describe himself as a person defined by enthusiasm, one who is willing to use his initiative and drive, in tandem with the Capital School team to ensure that excellent practice is shared and embedded at all levels, thus creating an unwavering belief that every Capital School child has a world class education that is tailored to them.
Danielle Davies
Head of Early Years
Danielle is extremely passionate about Early Years education and believes that facilitating effective child-led play is how young children thrive during their first few years in school. She has a BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership. She has taught in EYFS, KS1 and KS2 which means that she has a secure understanding of where the children start their educational journey and where they are heading.
Throughout her career she has taught in the UK, Japan, and the UAE; Danielle has held many leadership roles in this time such as: Co-ordinator for Outdoor Learning and Environmental Education, Early Years Data Coach, Head of Year and Head of Early Years.
Daniella Shankland
Lead Practitioner
At Capital School, Daniella leads the development of children’s language skills, supports the facilitation of inquiry-based learning and promotes the use of technology, so children have authentic, purposeful and engaging learning opportunities. She is passionate about school improvement and proud to have supported his previous school to raise its KHDA rating from Good to Very Good.
Charmaine Hale
Assistant Head of Secondary
Mrs Charmaine has a strong desire to improve teaching and learning across secondary education as she believes this is the driving force behind any child’s educational success. She has a BA Hons degree which she completed in 2009. Charmaine has taught from year 7- 13 and prides herself on the GCSE results that students have acquired whilst being taught by her. Charmaine also has a National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership and is working towards her National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership.
Throughout her career she has taught in a variety of UK schools, focusing on her role as a leader to improve teaching and learning.
