Curriculum Overview

The curriculum provides a comprehensive programme for students covering both taught and extra curricula activities. We aim to develop students’ all round abilities and interests and work to develop responsible and independent young learners with a good understanding of the world around them. We aim that students will have a good knowledge of UAE and its importance within the Gulf region, and an understanding of what it is like to be a global citizen.

Capital School Primary Curriculum 2017-18

A fully thematic approach will be used in 2017-18 for our Primary Curriculum. English and Maths are taught on a daily basis but will be linked to the theme. Capital School Questions (the theme name) will encourage students to critically think and develop a mastery of learning. As this is a fully thematic curriculum, all specialists are on board to ensure learning is in the best context for our students. Social Studies and the new Moral Education Curriculum are also mapped accordingly to allow the progression of these subjects to be in context with our curriculum. Please find a high-level overview of our curriculum. We want our Capital School Questions to remain a surprise for students, therefore, we communicate these in updated curriculum newsletters termly for parents.
